Stickers!
Have I mentioned how into stickers Wyle has been lately? He spends a good hour or two a day working on his various masterpieces. I’m a big fan of them as well, since it means I get to sit on the couch and read a book while I dispense the stickers:
At the end of the video, I’m trying to show Wyle’s patented layering technique. The trick is get all of the stickers in exactly the same spot, making a pile that’s at least an inch deep. It’s a gift.
Sharing is Not Always a Good Thing
Wyle is really into his fire truck. Also, he likes to share. Sometimes this is a problem:
Besides, everyone knows that fire trucks prefer white milk.
Twinsies!
Schwarzenegger and Devito have nothing on these two:
Now if only Ben had Sesame Street socks . . .
Wyle is a Busy Guy
Wyle’s a busy guy these days. After all, someone has to load all of the felt letters into the dump truck and dump them out. And then do it again. And again. And again:
Don’t even get me started on the amount of stickers scheduled for deployment this afternoon.
This Kid Loves a Car. Seriously.
Another day, another trip to the Children’s Museum. Despite the fact that it doesn’t actually do anything, this car never gets old:
Apparently Ben loves it, as well. This cape, on the other hand, was all new:
It’s a little blurry, but you get the idea. We’re going to need costumes of our own for Wyle. Stat.
Wyle Realizes Lifelong Dream, Pets Bird
Ever since he could walk and talk, Wyle has had a singular dream: “Pet bird!” Yesterday, he realized that dream. We drove up to Minnesota to visit Darcy’s parents. He did a great job on the four hour car ride under the promise of being able to pet a bird once we got to the farm. He cashed in on that promise as soon as we got out of the car.
Now he’ll have to come up with another dream. Hopefully it will be something like, “Go college.”
Kind of Crummy
As previously stated, Wyle is a big help when it comes to laundry day. Especially now that playing nap is one of his favorite things in the world:
When he states that he’s “kind of crummy” feeling, by the way, he’s referring to the terrible cold the Millers came down with on Sunday. Adorable, yet sad.
Compendium
We’ve been a little bit lackadaisical in updating the blog lately, so here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to.
Wyle enjoyed a visit from his Uncle Jim and Aunt Casey. They even took Wyle to the zoo!
Wyle wanted to see how he stacked up against a meercat while he was there.
Then we all drove to La Crosse, WI and met up with Grandpa and Uncle Cody (or Coco as Wyle calls him). Coco showed Wyle an awesome barge.
After they left, Wyle celebrated his second Easter. He might be terrified of the Easter bunny, but that didn’t stop him from donning a pair of sparkly Easter bunny ears.
Finally, Wyle has started talking in a serious way. Here he is showing off how well he knows his great-grandma’s name.
PS – All the pictures and video were taken with my brand new, super shiny smartphone. That impresses me more than it probably impresses you.
Wyle or Spiderman?
After almost two years of remaining comfortably on the ground, Wyle shocked me today when he scampered right up the side of the play structure at the park!
Looks like we’ll have to do some more toddler proofing around the house…
