Fall Fest

Yesterday, the Millers took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and walked down to Slater’s Fall Fest celebration.  First stop was the Heritage Center, where two thirds of the family enjoyed homemade krumkake cookies.  We checked out the old tractor exhibit, but Wyle was unimpressed with the machinery and we quickly moved on to the chili cook-off taste test (for Ben) and the dessert buffet (for Darcy).  Our last stop was the library, where Ben had organized an art show, complete with wine and cheese.  It was our first longish excursion using the Ergo Baby carrier and I have to say, it was totally worth the extra money we paid for it; Wyle was comfortable, my hands were free for grazing the dessert table, and my shoulders didn’t get sore, even after an hour.  Good work, Ergo Baby!

Not my most flattering facial expression.

The Ergo truly is awesome. Just wait until you can put him on your back. It’s even more comfortable!
