Join us in the Upside Down for strangest Miller Halloween party yet! Friendship! Monsters! Pizza! Danger! Synth music! A very large van to drive you from the Park & Ride!! And more!!!
When: November 1st, 4:00 - 9:00ish
Where: The Millers place on Wisconsin State Rd. 78 (see parking info below)
Why: Spooky fun!
Parking at our place is highly limited, but don't worry! As per usual, there will be transportation between the Park & Ride on Highway 12 and our house. The shuttle/party bus will run between 4:00 and 9:00 pm.
Please park at the Park & Ride; the parking in our driveway will be limited to accessible parking only. But feel free to drop off/pick up passengers at the house whenever!
The shuttle will be running between the party and the Park & Ride regularly throughout the night (it takes less than five minutes to get to our house, so your wait shouldn't be long!).
Yes! Please do. Our Halloween party began as a way to stay warm while trick-or-treating with our kids and our friends. Be aware, your child will DEFINITELY eat a bunch of candy while they're here. Also, real talk, make sure to supervise younger kids closely - our house is surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods, and there's also a (fairly) deep pond in our backyard. Plus, our trampoline has... seen better days (while you're here, ask Ben about how he accidentally set on fire!). That said, this is a party for everyone. You do NOT have to have kids to come! Again, PLEASE DO NOT STEAL CHILDREN AND BRING THEM TO OUR PARTY.
I mean, you don't HAVE to do anything. We'll be happy to see you either way, but dressing up is definitely encouraged. Don't worry about being on theme; we love to see all kinds of awesome costumes! If you're on the fence, know that your costume is an automatic conversation starter with other guests. And if you haven't seen Stranger Things and want a quick costume idea, just come in 80s clothes. Stranger Things was set in the 80s, so you'll be right at home.
We provide everything you'll need to have a good time (snacks, desserts, pizza., etc.) We'll also have vegetarian options and do our best to put ingredients lists out for all food. If you have a question about what is in something, just ask us! On the alchohol side, you can expect: beer, pre-made cocktails, hard seltzer, and spirits (spooky, right???). On the non-alchoholic side, you can expect fizzy water, juice boxes, soda, and flat water. There is no expectation that you bring anything, but if your Midwestern sensibilities compel you, we'll gladly accept and celebrate what you bring (except Malört). Likewise, if you want to eat or drink something specific, bring it! We won't be offended.
The show must go on! If it is nice out, we'll be indoor/outdoor. If it's miserable out, we'll be indoor/indoor. There'll be a temperamental propane heater on our porch; Ben will do his best to make sure it actually works this year! Either way, we'll have fun, I promise!
